275m use Dubai public transport in first half of 2017

Dubai Metro accounts for 36.4% of the share in ridership

More passengers used the Dubai public transport in the first half of 2017 as compared to last year.

Statistics released by Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) indicate that public transport ridership in Dubai was recorded at 275,772,000 during the first half of last year, while it was 273,452,791 riders during the same period last year.

Public transit means in Dubai comprising Dubai metro, Dubai tram, public buses, marine transit modes (abra, ferry, water taxi, water bus) and taxicabs (Dubai Taxi and franchise companies) lifted 275,772,000 riders in the first half of 2017, revealed HE Mattar Al Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA.
